Sermon Recap and Timeless Truth

The timeless truth from this week’s sermon was that Giving your life to THE WAY is not the easiest but it is what we were created for.

 Key Verse

"When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor."
Acts 19:17 (NIV)

Canvas Kids Recap

Catch up on all the fun and learning from our Children's Ministry

Elementary: Fear

Bible Story: Daniel & the Lion’s Den

Bible Verse(s): Daniel 6

Need to Know: I live only for God

Lesson: In the elementary class we continued learning about what God says about fear! This week we saw how fear can be a trap and that we should only live for what God calls us to do. We saw in the Bible how Daniel stood for what God called him to do no matter what the people around him said or did. Daniel’s boldness and choice to follow God protected him. After our lesson, we did an object lesson where each kid got a “finger trap” and had to perform different tasks with the finger trap to see how difficult or easy each task was. We saw that just as Proverbs says, fearing people can be a dangerous trap and we always need to trust in the Lord!

Memory Verse: Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the LORD means safety.

Proverbs 29:25

Pre-K & Toddler: Out in the Wild

Bible Story: Josiah Obeys God

Bible Verse(s):  2 Chronicles 34:1-35:19

Need to Know: The Bible is True Forever

Lesson: In the PreK/K class we learned that the Bible is true forever! In our Bible story, King Josiah found a scroll of God’s word while cleaning the temple. When we read the Bible, we learn how to obey God. The Bible was written a long time ago, but it was true for King Josiah and it is true for us, too! The kids played their own board games while answering questions about the Bible story and how it applies to their lives. They also made some cool safari pictures!

Memory Verse: Open my eyes so that I can see all the wonderful things in your teachings. Psalm 119:18
