The timeless truth from this week’s sermon was that Keep On Speaking, Keep On Living, and Keep On Trusting, So Truth And Light Will Overcome Darkness And Deceit.

Key Verse

“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent."
Acts 18:9 (NIV)

Canvas Kids Recap

Catch up on all the fun and learning from our Children's Ministry

Elementary: Courage

Bible Story: Elijah & Baal

Bible Verse: 1 Kings

Need to Know: God gives me courage to Pray

Lesson: In our final lesson on Courage, the focus was that God gives us courage to pray. The class had some great discussions on what it means to have courage when talking about prayer! We saw in our Bible story that Elijah had courage to pray when all the other Gods and people were against him. Because of Elijah’s faithful and courageous prayers, the one true God showed up! After our bible story and discussion, the kids got to try to light their own altar to Baal in an exciting relay race! We had a blast seeing this story come to life! Next week we will be moving on to our next unit.

Memory Verse:

The prayer of a godly person is powerful. It makes things happen. James 5:16

Pre-K/K: Out in the Wild

Bible Story: God Loves Adam and Eve; Jesus Died to Take Away Sins

Bible Verse:  Genesis 2:16-17, Matthew 26:53, John 15:13, 17:24

Need to Know: The Bible tells me God loves me

Lesson: In Week 3 of Out in the Wild our class focused on God’s love for Adam and Eve and us! We saw that even though Adam and Eve disobeyed God, He never stopped loving them! God promised that someone would come and make things right again, and that someone was Jesus! Jesus died on the cross for our sins! The class made some beautiful cheetah headbands to remind them that God created us and he loves us regardless of if we disobey or not!

Memory Verse:

Open my eyes so that I can see all the wonderful things in your teachings. Psalm 119:18
