This week at Monday nights, we started a new sermon series on the Holy Spirit. I was helping with Monday night kids, and they were learning how to share the Gospel without words. They had a little booklet made of construction paper with different colors, and each color represented a part of the Gospel.

It started with gold, which represents heaven, God has a place prepared for us. Then there was black, which represents sin and how it separates us from God. Next was red, representing the blood of Jesus and how His death on the cross bridged the gap that separated us from God. Then comes white, which means we are made white as snow because of the blood of Jesus that covers a multitude of sins. Lastly, there is green, which represents growth, after we are made new, we need to grow in Jesus.I thought it was so amazing that kids at that age are learning to share the Gospel. All of their responses, just knowing that Jesus is the one who made them clean, were so sweet. It’s amazing to see that they’re understanding this at such a young age.

After that, I went to sit in on Monday nights, where we have a service with worship in the beginning, followed by a sermon, and then prayer and worship at the end. I got to hear part of the sermon about how God wants us to sit in His presence and dwell with Him.After the sermon, I saw a girl crying, and during prayer I asked the Lord when I should go up to her because I felt led to pray for her. I went over and prayed, and she was really impacted. I felt that God has so much more for her in the secret place and even at her job, that He’s going to draw her away to be with Him during her workday.

Afterward, she opened her eyes and asked, “Can I pray for you?” and I said, “Of course.” I love when things like this happen because it truly shows how the body of Christ is meant to be.After we prayed, I said, “Let’s talk after.” I got to meet her, and she’s currently working at Paramount and wants to make films. She was filled with so much joy and excited after coming to service. I also met another girl who was sitting next to her—she works at a Chick-fil-A that a lot of our students go to after Monday nights. She said that after seeing all the students coming in, she wanted to find out what was happening, and she ended up receiving the Holy Spirit.

Here’s a few ways to help!

Connect me with people! An introduction goes a long way!

As I’m reaching out to people, I want to connect with more individuals! If you know someone who might be interested in hearing what I’m doing, please introduce me to them. You can also send them this link so they can schedule a meeting with me: https://www.fundingtribe.org/marger

Meet with Me:

If you have been wanting to meet with me and find out more about what I am doing with Circuit Riders, or if you’ve just wanted to ask me questions about my personal vision, please feel free to use the link above. I would love to meet and connect with all of you!

Also if you have been wondering what Circuit Riders is here is a link to a video that is less than 10 minutes that explains that: https://youtu.be/gCMAn7Z6U6E

-Jesus Clubs:

I’ve recently been helping with Jesus Clubs since being back from outreach. We’ve had between 60– 80 high school students attending. Jesus Clubs are where we partner with student hosts to hold clubs during lunch—we pray and invite students to come. We provide pizza and share a message. Please pray that these students would receive everything being shared. This week, they were learning how to hear God’s voice—pray that they would be deeply impacted by the message of the Gospel. Also, pray that more students would come to club and encounter who Jesus is.

-Monday Nights:

Please pray for Monday nights! So many young adults from Southern California come, and I believe many in my generation are desperate for more of God. Some even drive an hour or up to two hours just to be there. As we go through this series on the Holy Spirit, pray that people would truly understand who the Holy Spirit is and have real encounters with God. Pray that many would come for the first time, receive Jesus Christ into their lives, and live boldly for Him.

-Personal Support:

Please pray for me as I work toward raising my monthly support goal so I can continue doing more for the Kingdom of God. Pray for favor in the meetings I’ll be having—that people would clearly see what God is doing in my generation and understand how important it is to reach them.

Blessings,

Marger Geraldo- Full Time Missionary
