Elementary: Wild West Faith

Bible Story: The Sun Stands Still

Bible Verse: Joshua 10:1-15

Need to Know: God can make the impossible, possible.

Lesson: In the Old West, the final shootout often took place at “high noon” when the sun was

highest in the sky. When the five kings of the Amorites came against the Israelites, it

would take a miracle for the people of God to defeat them before the sun went down! We saw how God provided a miracle and stopped the sun in the sky until Joshua and his men had the victory! God can do the impossible. We had a fun time with a game to remind us of what impossible could look like and how God can do much more than we could ever imagine!

Memory Verse: “The grass dries up. The flowers fall to the ground. But what our God says will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Bible Verse: Jeremiah 36, 2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16

Need to Know: God's Word is true

Lesson: We are halfway through our Better than Gold unit and the PreK/K class is having a blast learning about God’s Word being a treasure through different Bible stories. This week the class explored the story of Jeremiah. We saw how every word that God told Jeremiah to write down came true! Jeremiah and all of God’s messengers, the prophets, told the people that God was sending someone special to save them! All of God’s messages proved true when He sent Jesus. Every word we read in the Bible, God’s Word, is true!

Memory Verse: “Your Word to me, Your servant, is like pure gold; I treasure what You say." Psalm 119:140
