Sermon Recap and Timeless Truth
The timeless truth from this week’s sermon was that while we need to be prepared to share the gospel diligently with follow-up, God will ultimately do the saving work.
Key Verse
"...Through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins, and by Him, everyone who believes is justified from all things..."
Acts 13:38-39
Canvas Kids Recap
Catch up on all the fun and learning from our Children's Ministry
Elementary: Wild West Faith
Bible Story: The Plagues of Frogs, Gnats, and Flies
Bible Verse: Exodus 8
Need to Know: There are consequences for not living God’s way.
Lesson: Week 3 of Wild West Faith brought a new Sheriff into town! When lawlessness ran amok, a new sheriff would ride in to clean up the Wild West towns. Just like the bad guys in the Wild West, the Pharaoh of Egypt mistreated and abused the Israelites who lived there, so God sent in Moses and Aaron to set things right. But Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he would not acknowledge the awesome power of God. In today’s lesson the kids got to experience the plagues through candy. Each type of candy represented a different plague that God sent to Pharaoh and the people of Egypt. These will serve as reminders that when the new Sheriff came into town (God) he cleaned up the mess! We saw that there were consequences for not living God’s way and that we need to be intentional to aim for God's plan in our life!
Memory Verse: “The grass dries up. The flowers fall to the ground. But what our God says will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Pre-K & Toddler: Better Than Gold
Bible Story: Elijah
Bible Verse: 1 Kings 17:1-16, 17:24
Need to Know: God’s Word is True
Lesson: Almost halfway through Better Than Gold! The summer is flying by. In today’s lesson the kids learned about the life of Elijah! God sent Elijah to tell King Ahab that there would be no rain because of the king's disobedience. God took care of Elijah by giving him water from a brook and sending birds to bring him food. When the brook dried up, God led Elijah to a woman who had very little food left. Elijah told her to trust God, and she did. God kept His promise by making sure she never ran out of the oil and food she needed until the rain returned. Through this story, the kids learned that God always keeps His promises and His Word is true. The kids played some games to help reinforce that God’s Word is true!
Memory Verse: Psalm 119:140
Your Word to me, Your servant, is like pure gold; I treasure what You say.
